Description: The first in a series of pictographs from Sego Canyon, featuring painted rock art created with mineral pigments by ancient cultures. Unlike petroglyphs which are carved, these pictographs were painted onto the rock surface and have remarkably survived centuries of weathering. Sego Canyon’s pictographs are particularly notable for their Barrier Canyon Style imagery, characterized by large, haunting anthropomorphic figures with elaborate decorations.
