Rocky Shore, Rock on Rock
Batanes Protected Landscapes and Seascapes Boulder Beach
Beach Juncal is situated in the El Juncal gorge on Gran Canaria Island in Spain. This beach is made up of stones and is relatively untouched, but it can be difficult to access and is mostly frequented by locals. The water is clear and ideal for snorkeling, although beach shoes are recommended due to the slippery stones. Private areas can be found in small hollows and hidden corners on both sides of the bay. However, there are no amenities such as toilets, showers, or food outlets available on the beach. The surroundings are home to mountain goats and sheep. This is a nudist beach suitable for those who prefer clothing-optional experiences. A parking area is available near the beach.
A rocky shore is an intertidal area of seacoasts where solid rock predominates. Rocky shores are biologically rich environments, and are a useful “natural laboratory” for studying intertidal ecology and other biological processes. Due to their high accessibility, they have been well studied for a long time and their species are well known
